Workspace and list navigation
Keep the right company context while using menus, breadcrumbs, filters, tables, and pagination.
What this menu does
Prevent work from being performed in the wrong client while making large lists fast to scan and resume.
Where to find it
Use the Tax Firm client list to enter a client workspace; use the left navigation, breadcrumb, and page controls inside the workspace.
When to use it
- Open a client workspace.
- Switch modules without losing company context.
- Return to the firm client list.
- Filter, sort, paginate, and reset a list.
Before you begin
- Use an account issued for the intended portal.
- Use a supported desktop or mobile browser.

Supported operations
Enter a client workspace

From Client Companies & Portal Accounts, locate the company.

Confirm its lifecycle status allows workspace access.

Select Open workspace.
- 4
Verify the company name and status in the workspace header before editing anything.
All workspace pages are scoped to the selected client until you exit.
Move between modules
- 1
Expand the required parent menu.
- 2
Select the child menu matching the task.
- 3
Use the current module label or breadcrumb to confirm location.
- 4
On narrow screens, open the menu drawer and close it after selection.
The route changes within the same client workspace.
Filter and paginate a list
- 1
Enter a keyword and choose available status, type, date, or scope filters.
- 2
Review the result count and current range.
- 3
Use the table row action only after confirming the target record.
- 4
Move pages or change page size; use Reset filters to return to the default view.
The list shows only records matching the current filters and access scope.
Exit the workspace
- 1
Save or cancel any open edit.
- 2
Select Exit client workspace.
- 3
Confirm the tax-firm client list is visible.
- 4
Choose another client only after the previous workspace header is gone.
The client workspace closes and the firm-level navigation returns.
Business rules and fields
- The workspace header is the source of truth for the current client.
- List filters do not change access permissions.
- A hidden row action can be caused by record status as well as access.
- Do not open two clients in adjacent tabs unless you can continuously verify the headers.

What happens next
- Every operation stays inside a clearly identified client context.
- Filters and pagination can be reset without modifying records.
Common problems
The page asks you to sign in again.
The session expired or its security token is missing.
Return to the same portal login page, sign in again, then repeat the operation.
