Firm List
Create tax-firm tenants, issue the initial administrator account, and open firm details.
What this menu does
Maintain the platform's tax-firm customer directory and the first access handoff for each firm.
Where to find it
Platform Admin navigation: Firms → Firm List.
When to use it
- Find a firm by name, plan, or status.
- Create a firm and its initial administrator.
- Open firm details for lifecycle, plan, and security maintenance.
Before you begin
- Sign in to Platform Admin.
- The account must be allowed to view this menu.

Supported operations
Find a tax firm
- 1
Enter the firm name or use plan and status filters.
- 2
Review current plan, status, client/staff usage, storage, and recent activity.

Use pagination when the firm is not on the current page.

Select Details on the verified row.
The selected firm's detail page opens.
Create a tax firm
- 1
Select Create firm.
- 2
Enter the firm name, plan, initial status, administrator name and email, and creation reason.

Review the values and submit once.

Copy the one-time temporary password from the result and record that it was delivered through an approved secure channel.
The firm and initial administrator are created; the administrator must change the temporary password on first use.
Business rules and fields
- The temporary password is shown only in the result flow and must not be placed in public documentation.
- Creating a firm also creates its initial administrator account.
- Plan and lifecycle changes after creation are maintained from firm details.

What happens next
- A new tenant appears in the list with its assigned plan and initial administrator.
- Every create action and later maintenance action is auditable.
Common problems
The menu or action is missing.
The account does not have the required platform access or the item is not available in the current state.
Ask a platform administrator to verify the account role and the record status.
A save or load action fails.
The session may have expired, validation may have failed, or the service is temporarily unavailable.
Keep the shown request identifier if present, refresh once, correct highlighted fields, and retry. Escalate with the request identifier if it repeats.
